Haliburton Village Pathways Map

This map is part of FoRT's community project called:

Creating A Village Pathways Network

FoRT received funding from HCDC, the Haliburton Community Development Corporation in 2013 to launch this Local Initiative Project. It's part of a five-year initiative to upgrade the connectivity and wayfinding signage of paths, sidewalks and trails around the Village of Haliburton. This little tourist town tucked in between lake, forest and a high bluff, is home to a significant number of cultural entities. The famous Haliburton School of The Arts, Highlands Summer Theatre, Highlands Opera, a variety of music, theatre and dance performances in Head Lake Park, Rails End - a public art gallery in a heritage railway station, Haliburton Museum, Haliburton Sculpture Forest, private galleries and studios, and more... These could be pleasantly accessed on foot or by bike, through greenspace, enjoying lake and river views. This would reduce car congestion which is a problem in the busy summer season.
