Poster for Two Short Films

 

 Wed February 22, 2017 • Two Short Films on the Railway Days in Haliburton screened at Haliburton Highlands Museum at 7 pm. Approximately 60 people filled the space with a few standing. Door Prizes were local history books signed by the authors present at the event. Fragments of a Dream: Leopoldina Dobrzensky, History of Kinmount: Guy Scott, Alexander Niven: Kim Emmerson.

Sunday April 17 - Ramble and Lunch with Kevin Callan at Camp Wanakita.
Ramble was out and back for an hour. Lunch started at Wanakita at 12:15. Kevin regaled us with tales of how to be a Happy Camper out on the trails this summer. Talk featured the TAG wilderness canoue route from the Leslie Frost Centre to Algonquin Park's Canoe Lake access point.

 

 

 

Wednesday Jan 13 - Slow Travel, Local Flavours - from 5 to 8 pm at Lochin Community Centre -- was an evening of worldwide stories and closer-to-home food and drink. Four speakers presented their stories of long-distance walking and cycling tours, rounded out by a light buffet supper and cash bar with local Haliburton Highlands craft beer.
